PUMPKINS

Make 4, 2 in main scarf color and 2 in orange

ch 4, sl st to first chain to make a loop

Round 1: ch 2, 12 dc in loop, join to first dc with sl st (12 dc)

Round 2: ch 1, 2 sc, 2 hdc, (2 dc) x3, (dc, hdc), (hdc, dc), (2 dc) x3, 2 hdc, 2 sc, join to first sc with sl st (24)

Round 3: ch 1, sc, 2 sc, hdc, 2 hdc, (dc, 2 dc) x3, dc, 2 hdc, hdc, (hdc, dc), (dc, 2 dc) x3, hdc, 2 hdc, sc, 2 sc, join to first sc with sl st (36)

Round 4: ch 1, sc, sc, 2 hdc, (dc, dc, 2 dc) x4, dc, dc, 2 hdc, hdc, hdc, 2 dc, (dc, dc, 2 dc) x4, hdc, hdc, 2 sc, join to first sc with sl st (48)

Fasten off.

LEAF (make 2)

With green, ch 5, sl st in first ch from the hook, sl st in next, sc, hdc, 4 hdc in next, working along the opposite side of the chain, hdc, sc, sl st, sl st

Fasten off. Leave a long end for sewing

STEM (make 2)

With brown ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc, hdc, hdc, dc

Fasten off. Leave a long end for sewing.

SEWING

Sew one leaf and stem to each of the orange pumpkins.

Fasten off. Weave in the ends.

SCARF

Lay one of the main scarf color pumpkins right side up. Join scarf color to the 6th stitch on the right from the center

Row 1: ch 1, sc, hdc in 3, dc in 4, hdc in 3, sc (12)

Row 2 – 75: ch 2, turn, hdc in each stitch across (12 hdc)

Row 76: ch 1, turn, sc, hdc in 3, dc in 4, hdc in 3, sc (12)

Fasten off. Leave a long end for sewing.

SEWING

Sew the end of the scarf to the other scarf color pumpkin

Fasten off. Weave in the ends.

Place an orange pumpkin on top of the scarf pumpkin. Secure with stitch markers.

Using an orange piece of yarn twice the circumference of the pumpkin, whip stitch the orange pumpkin to the scarf, leaving a space at the top for pocket holes. Weave in the ends.

Repeat for other pocket.
