Stitch Sampler Scrapghan CAL – Part 3

Worsted weight yarn
J/6.0 mm hook
Yarn needle
Scissors

Level
Easy -you must be very familiar with basic crochet stitches

Pattern notes & stitches to know
Ch – chain
Sc – single crochet
Hdc – half double crochet
Dc – double crochet
CL – cluster – *Yarn over, insert hook in stitch, yarn over and pull up loop, yarn over, draw through 2 loops* repeat from * to * 2 more times, yarn over, pull through all 4 loops on hook

Ch 4 COUNTS as dc + ch 1. Ch 1 DOES NOT COUNT as sc

Written in US terms

PART 3 – BLOCK STITCH

Join to end of row 13

Row 14: ch 1, turn, hdc in 2 stitches, *sc in 7 stitches, hdc in 7 stitches, * repeat from * to * across, ending with 6 hdc (169)

Row 15: ch 1, turn, sc in first 2 stitches, *ch 1, skip 1 stitch, sc in next* repeat from * to * across to last 2, sc in last 2 (86 sc)

Row 16: ch 4, turn, skip next sc, *CL in ch 1 space, ch 1, skip next sc* repeat from * to * across to last stitch, dc in last stitch (83 CL)

Row 17: ch 1, turn, sc in dc and ch 1 space, *ch 1, skip CL, sc in ch 1 space* repeat from * to * across to last stitch, sc in last stitch (turning ch of previous row) (86 sc)

Row 18: repeat row 16

Row 19: repeat row 17

Fasten off, weave in the ends or add fringe.

  1. Hi! I’m loving this pattern – I was wondering how I’d adjust it for a different length? I did 146 originally (144+2) and the pattern doesn’t work out quite right like ending with the hdc. Could you help please? x

    1. Hi! That chain number should work. For the first row, just work a row of sc (ending with 145 sc). Then start on the next row (row 15 as written in this pattern). Hope this helps!!
