· Pattern is written in 6 sizes consecutively: (baby, toddler, child) (Teen, Med Adult, Lg Adult)

· This pattern was designed using Loops & Threads Cuddle Craft Tube, which is technically a worsted weight yarn but is slightly thicker than most traditional worsted cotton yarns. If you substitute a regular worsted cotton, your finished hat may come out a little smaller. I love using tube yarn for bucket hats because it’s surprisingly lightweight, soft, and comfortable to wear during the summer while still providing great stitch definition.

Make a magic loop

Round 1: ch 2, 12 dc in loop, join to first dc with sl st, pull lop closed tight (12 dc)

Round 2: ch 2, 2 dc in each st around, join to first dc with sl st (24 dc)

Round 3: ch 2, *dc in 1 st, 2 dc in next* rep from * to * around, join to first dc with sl st (36 dc)

Round 4: ch 2, *dc in 2 sts, 2 dc in next* rep from * to * around, join to first dc with sl st (48 dc)

Size Baby and Toddler – go to BODY
