Welcome to Part 7 of the Stitch Sampler Scrapghan CAL! This week is the Granny Stripe Stitch. This is a repeat of the first stitch and something nice and easy. I know we can use a break after the last couple of weeks that were a bit more challenging 🙂

Materials
Worsted weight yarn
J/6.0 mm hook
Yarn needle
Scissors

Level
Easy -you must be very familiar with basic crochet stitches

Pattern notes & stitches to know
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
dc – double crochet
CL – cluster – 3 dc in same stitch or space

Ch 3 COUNTS as dc

Written in US terms

PART 7 – GRANNY STRIPE

Join yarn to end of row 41

Row 42: ch 3 (counts as dc), turn, dc in same stitch, *skip 2 stitches, CL in next stitch* repeat from * to * across to last stitch, 2 dc in last stitch (55 CL)

Row 43: ch 3 (counts as dc), turn, CL in each space between the CL from previous row, dc in last stitch (56 CL)

Row 44: ch 3 (counts as dc), turn, dc in same stitch, CL in each space between the CL from previous row, 2 dc in last stitch (55 CL)

Repeat rows 43 – 44 to Row 46 (55 CL)

Fasten off, weave in the ends or add fringe.

  1. How many total parts are there to this project? Hard to see in the photo.

    Am having so much fun with this-learning so many new and different stitches that I normally would’ve never even thought to use!

  2. Are these instructions for part six or seven? Because at the end you say see you next week for part seven.

  3. Question? When you do the three double crochet cluster do you chain any? Like three double crochet pull through loops chain one or two? Then skip 2 stitches etc?
