I love making beanies from the bottom up. I think they have a really flattering shape and just a bit of slouch. I created a photo tutorial for How to Finish a Beanie Made from the Bottom Up.

I’ve used this technique for quite a few beanies

Woven Beanie // Mulberry Beanie // Pinetop Beanie

After you finished your beanie, leave a long end for sewing.

With your yarn needle, weave the end in and out of the top loops of the last round

Pull the end tight to cinch the top closed

Secure the top closed by sewing back and forth across the opening a couple times

Fasten off and weave in you ends!

I hope this quick tutorial was helpful for you 🙂
