The pattern uses two strands of yarn throughout. My stripes are 4 rows each and the color order is as follows–
2 strands black (4 rows)
1 strand black, 1 strand purple (4 rows)
1 strand black, 1 strand orange (4 rows)
1 strand black, 1 strand green (4 rows)

EASY HALLOWEEN BLANKET

Starting with 2 black strands at the same time, Ch 86

Row 1: sc in 2nd ch from the hook, *dc in next, sc in next* repeat from * to * across (43 sc, 42 dc)

Row 2: ch 2, turn, dc in first sc, sc in dc, *dc in next, sc in next* repeat from * to * across, dc in last sc (43 dc, 42 sc)

Row 3: ch 1, turn, sc in first dc, dc in sc, *sc in next, dc in next* repeat from * to * across, sc in last dc (43 sc, 42 dc)

Repeat rows 2 and 3 to row 84 (look for color order above)

Fasten off, weave in your ends.

  1. I love this blanket! The colors are very funky and Halloween. I have a quick question about a tweak on it. If you did a carryover of the previous color would you only need like 2 skeins of each color then do you think? For example: Starting with the black section, Black and Purple, Purple and Green, Green and Orange, Orange and Black. Keeping the blanket the same size with what looks like a 5 section repeat. I think that made sense, I’m new to crochet and terms.
