Welcome back for Part 9 of the Mandala Blanket Crochet Along! This week we will be using V stitches and front post double crochets.

Materials
Worsted weight yarn (I used Caron Cakes)
H/5.0 mm hook
Yarn needle
Scissors

Level
intermediate

Pattern notes & stitches to know
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
dc – double crochet
sc – single crochet
V st – (dc, ch 1, dc) all in one stitch

· written in US terms

· ch 2 does not count as hdc

· Approx finished size: 41” ea side

Round 22: sl st to ch-2, ch 2, *(hdc, ch 2, hdc) in ch-2 space, [V st in next stitch, skip 2] repeat from [ ] across to last 2 stitches on that side, V st in next, skip next* repeat from * to * around, join to first hdc with sl st (164 V st, 8 hdc)

Round 23: sl st to ch-2 space, ch 2, *(hdc, ch 2, hdc) in ch-2 space, fpdc in hdc, V st in each ch-1 space across to next hdc, fpdc in hdc* repeat from * to * around, join to first hdc with sl st (164 V st, 8 hdc, 8 fpdc)

Round 24 – Round 27: sl st to ch-2 space, ch 2, *(hdc, ch 2, hdc) in ch-2 space, fpdc in each hdc and fpdc, V st in each ch-1 space across to next fpdc, fpdc in each fpdc and hdc* repeat from * to * around, join to first hdc with sl st (164 V st, 8 hdc) (each round will increase by 8 fpdc, 40 fpdc at the end of round 27)
