Materials
100g/218yds worsted weight yarn (I used WeCrochet Brava in Dove Heather)
J/6.0 mm hook
yarn needle
scissors
stitch marker

ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
dc – double crochet
sc – single crochet

· Written in US terms

· ch 1 does not count as sc

· This beanie is made from the top down in continuous rounds.

· To change the pattern size, go up or down a hook size. You can also add or take out an increase round

Approx Finished size (medium adult) – 21” x 9”

LINKED DC BEANIE CROCHET PATTERN

make a magic circle

Round 1: ch 1, 6 sc in circle, pull circle closed tight, do not join (6 sc)

Do not to join. Continue the next round working in the first stitch of round 1. You will be working in a continuous spiral. Put your stitch marker in the first dc of the next round.

Round 2: dc in first stitch, Ldc in same stitch, 2 Ldc in each stitch around (12 Ldc)

Move stitch marker to first Ldc in next round. Continue for each round.

Round 3: 2 Ldc in each stitch around (24 Ldc)

Round 4: *Ldc in 1 stitch, 2 Ldc in next* repeat from * to * around (36 Ldc)

Round 5: *Ldc in 2 stitches, 2 Ldc in next* repeat from * to  around (48 Ldc)

Round 6: *Ldc in 3 stitches, 2 Ldc in next* repeat from * to * around (60 Ldc)

Round 7: *Ldc in 4 stitches, 2 Ldc in next* repeat from * to * around (72 Ldc)

Crown diameter is approx. 6.5”. To change the size, add or take out increase rounds.

Round 8 – 20: Ldc in each stitch around (72 Ldc)

Or until desired length.

sc in next 2, sl st in next.

Fasten off. Weave in the ends.

  1. Very easy hat to make. Took just over an hour to make.
    My hats will be going to a school in my community. There are other yarners helping with mitts & scarfs too.
    We are in northwest Saskatchewan 🇨🇦 & these will be very much appreciated.
