Materials
Worsted weight yarn (the same color as the joining yarn)
H/5.0 mm hook
Yarn needle
Scissors

Pattern notes & stitches to know
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
crab stitch (reverse single crochet) – work single crochets going in the opposite direction. Insert your hook into the stitch to the right, yarn over, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through both loops on the hook

PART 14 – BORDER

Join yarn to a corner of the blanket

Round 1: ch 1, *sc in each stitch across the squares and in the space between squares (where the squares are joined) working across as evenly as possible to the next corner, (sc, ch 1, sc) in corner space* repeat from * to * around, sc across remaining side, join to first sc with sl st

If you would like to even out the sides further, add rounds of sc before the last round.

Round 2: ch 1, *crab stitch in each stitch across to ch 1 space, (crab, ch 1, crab) in ch 1 space* repeat from * to * around, crab stitch across remaining side, join to first sc with sl st

Fasten off.

Weave in the ends.
