75g worsted weight yarn (I used Paintbox Simply Aran)
I/5.5 mm hook
yarn needle
scissors

Pattern notes & Stitches to Know
magic circle
sl st – slip stitch
ch – chain
dc – double crochet
sc – single crochet
bobble – *yarn over, insert into stitch, pull up a loop, yarn over, pull through 2 loops* repeat 2 more times. Yarn over, pull through all loops on hook

· Written in US terms

· ch 2 does not count as dc

· ch 1 does not count as sc or bobble

· This beanie is made from the top down with joined rounds. Some rounds are turned. Only turn when indicated in pattern

· To change the pattern size, go up or down a hook size. You can also add or take out an increase round

Circumference: 16.5”
Length: 6.25”

BABY BOBBLE BEANIE CROCHET PATTERN

make a magic circle

Round 1: ch 2, 10 dc in circle, pull circle closed tight, join to first dc with sl st (10 dc)

Round 2: ch 2, 2 dc in each stitch around, join to first dc with sl st (20 dc)

Round 3: ch 2, *dc in 1 stitch, 2 dc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first dc with sl st (30 dc)

Round 4: ch 2, *dc in 2 stitches, 2 dc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first dc with sl st (40 dc)

Round 5: ch 2, *dc in 3 stitches, 2 dc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first dc with sl st (50 dc)

Crown diameter is approx 5.75”

Round 6 – 8: ch 2, dc in each stitch around, join to first dc with sl st (50 dc)

Round 9: ch 1, turn, sc in first stitch, bobble in next, *sc in next stitch, bobble in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first sc with sl st (50)

Round 10: ch 1, turn, sc in each stitch around, join to first sc with sl st (50 sc)

Round 11: ch 1, turn, bobble in first stitch, sc in next, *bobble in next stitch, sc in next* repeat from * to * around, join to first bobble with sl st (50)

Round 12: ch 1, turn, sc in each stitch around, join to first sc with sl st (50 sc)

Round 13 – 16: repeat rounds 9 – 12

Fasten off. Weave in the ends.

  1. I would love to be part of your project. I cannot figure out how to print the patterns. When I click on the print version, it is 130%. That is too big for the paper. I make it smaller and it still prints at 130. When I try to copy and paste, I only can print the basic instructions. There is no picture or any of the other information. Please help me.

  2. Love the look of the cap and look forward to making some. I currently make newborn baby caps for a local hospital. You give good, clear instructions and that is WONDERFUL!
