VIDEO TUTORIAL FOR PART 3

SEWING

Fold both hexagons into an “L” shape. Place them together so they make a sweater shape.

Using the long end, sew across the shoulders with a whip stitch.

Sew both hexagons together up the center for the back.

Turn the piece over. Sew the center, about halfway up, for the neckline.

Weave in the ends.

SKIRT

Join yarn to a space along the bottom of the top.

Round 1: ch 2, 2 dc in same space, 3 dc in between each 3 dc’s from previous round, join to ch 2 with sl st

Round 2: ch 2, 3 dc in between each 3 dc group around, 3 dc in last space before ch 2, join to ch 2 with sl st

Round 3: ch 2, 3 dc in first space after ch 2, 3 dc in between each 3 dc group around, join to first ch 2 with sl st

Repeat rounds 2 & 3 to Round (14, 17, 20, 23) (19, 20, 21, 22) or until desired length

Fasten off. Weave in the ends.

And that’s it for Part 3! See you next Friday for Part 4.

  1. I have some confusion after sewing everything up. Round 1 on the video explains to chain 2 and then place 3 dc in the same space bwfore continuing around to the 3 dcs in each space. The written pattern does not explain that. I watched the video to get that clarification. Also – Is the count for a 14/16 size really 23 rounds and the small/medium only 19 rounds when repeating rounds 2 & 3? I am making one of each size and can’t believe ve smaller 14/16 size would have a longer skirt. Just checking. Love the pattern and the videos. Thanks!

    1. Hi! The skirt counts are like that because the larger sizes have larger hexagons, which adds the length there. Hope that helps!

  2. Yes, that helps. I just wanted to make sure I was reading it correctly! Thanks for your quick reply!
