Mug Cozy and Coaster Set Crochet Pattern
The Mug Cozy and Coaster Set Crochet Pattern is a quick and easy project that’s perfect for gifting! Made with worsted weight cotton yarn, this matching set features the mini bean stitch and half double crochet in the third loop for a beautiful textured look. It’s a great way to use up leftover cotton yarn and makes a thoughtful gift for coffee, tea, or hot cocoa lovers!

Make It a Finished Gift! 🎁
One of my favorite parts of the Handmade Holiday CAL is sharing ways to turn each crochet project into a complete gift!
For this week’s Mug Cozy and Coaster Set, all you need are a few inexpensive extras to create a cute coffee or tea-themed gift.
Here’s what to add:
- A simple ceramic mug (check dollar stores or thrift stores!)
- A few tea bags, instant coffee packets, or hot cocoa packets
- Optional: A candy cane, chocolate, or small treat
- Ribbon, twine, or a gift tag
How to Put It Together:
- Slip the crocheted mug cozy around the mug.
- Place the tea, coffee, or hot cocoa packets inside.
- Tuck the crocheted coaster alongside the mug or underneath it.
- Tie everything together with a pretty ribbon and add a handwritten gift tag!
That’s it! You have a thoughtful, useful handmade gift without spending a lot of money.
And remember, the crochet set makes a wonderful gift all on its own. The extras are completely optional!
