3 skeins (300g/654yds) Brava Stripe in Buttercream (or any worsted weight yarn)
I/5.5 mm hook
scissors
yarn needle

sc – single crochet

-ch 3 counts as dc

-ch 4 counts as dc + 1

Approx Finished Size (not including fringe): 60″ x 10″

BUTTERCREAM SCARF CROCHET PATTERN

Ch 43

Row 1: dc in 4th chain from the hook and in each ch across (41 dc)

Row 2: ch 3, turn, dc in each stitch across (41 dc)

Row 3: ch 4, turn, skip one stitch, dc in next, *ch 1, skip one stitch, dc in next* repeat from * to *  across (21 dc)

Row 4 – 6:  ch 4, turn, skip ch-1 space, dc in next stitch, *ch 1, skip ch-1 space, dc in next stitch* repeat from * to * across  (21 dc)

Row 7: ch 3, turn, dc in each stitch and ch-1 space across (41 dc)

Row 8: ch 3, turn, dc in each stitch across (41 dc)

Row 9 – 98: repeat rows 3 – 8

Or until desired length.

OPTIONAL BORDER

Do not fasten off, ch 1, sc evenly around the scarf, working 3 sc in each corner. Join to the first sc with sl st.

Fasten off, weave in all the ends.

FRINGE

Add four 12 inch strands of yarn to every 4th stitch (approximately) on both ends for the fringe. Trim to your liking.
