Ruffled Crochet Skirt Pattern

I made this skirt for my daughter who is 7… but I think I might have to make one for myself! The pattern can easily be adjusted for any size. Simply change the starting chain number, then the length and ba-da-bing! You have a ruffled skirt in a different size.

ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
fsc – foundation single crochet (VIDEO TUTORIAL LINK)
dc – double crochet
shell – 5 dc in one stitch

· written in US terms

· ch 2 does not count as dc

· The sizes are grouped together for this pattern. There are sizes 2/4, 6/8, & 10/12. Because of the loose nature of the skirt, one size can easily fit a range of sizes.

· The first row is a foundation row, then joined to make a circle. The remainder of the pattern is worked in joined rounds.

· Coral = Color A, Tart Orange = Color B, Rosey II = Color C

· Refer to chart for color changes for each size

· Gauge: 12 dc x 7 rounds = 4” x 4”

Sizes:

2/4, 6/8, 10/12 – The pattern is written in these sizes consecutively. Example, when the pattern gives the end of row count (92, 100, 104 sc) the 92 is for 2/4, 100 is 6/8, 104 is 10/12

This skirt is loose fit with more positive ease.

  1. Hi Breann, in this pattern when making the skirt part, in roound 3 the number of sc is 64 but then in round 4-8 the dc number of sc goes up to 92 but I can’t see where to increase?? I’d like to make this for my 6 year old as it’s so cute. Thank you so much and love all your patterns, thanks for sharing x

    1. Hi Breann! I love your patterns! Your directions are always so clear! Im having a bit of a problem knowing where to join my first ruffle row!! So do I stitch around the sc bar? Is there a video tutorial for this. I really cant tell from the picture! My 8 year old granddaughter requested this skirt snd she is going to love it! I only have a month to make it!
