Apple Crochet Wreath

September 19, 2017

Crocheting wreaths is so much fun! I had some extra apples from Michael’s around (I used them for our Apple Pie Sensory Bin) and I wanted to incorporate them in my fall decorating.

WREATH

Start with Ivory

Ch 19 (test this around the wreath, add or take out chains as needed)

Row 1: sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc across, ch 1, turn (18)

Row 2 – 7: sc in same stitch and across, ch 1, turn (18)

Change to green

Row 8 – 9: sc in same stitch and across, ch 1, turn (18)

Change to red

Row 11: sc in same stitch and across, ch 1, turn (18)

Change to ivory

Row 12: sc in same stitch and across, ch 1, turn (18)

Change to green

Row 13 – 14: sc in same stitch and across, ch 1, turn (18)

Repeat rows 1 – 14 to row 112

Do not fasten off, weave in the other ends.

Sew both ends together with a slip stitch

Wrap it around the wreath and sew it closed using a slip stitch, making sure to line up each row.

It looks wavy, but as long as you line up each row it will come out nice and smooth.

Wrap the hanger around the wreath, bring both end together, sew both ends together with a sc
